Computer Cant Connect To Internet ?

I Have A Window Xp Laptop And It Used To Connect To My Old Wireless Connection But A Week Ago I Bought A New Wireless Modem From At&t and I checked my laptop for the connection and its not there. Yes my laptop is in range with the internet but it would show. Even if I refresh the wireless network connections . Help ? I look at the wizard and it says my Wireless Network Connection Dell TrueMobile 1300 WLAN Mini-Pci Card Is Disconnected Please Help ...

I am not sure but you should try to open command prompt and run as administrator and type "net start wlansvc"
