Would 8GB of storage be enough?
I'm getting an iPhone 4 with 8 GB of storage... Would it be enough to store 300 songs, 700 photos, and around twenty small apps. . . . ( like not advanced high quality graphic games, just Instagram an Facebook).

an 8 GB will hold actually 6 GB because that 2GB is used to manage other stuff for Apple. like it just comes like that nothing you can do about it. you should just get a 16GB

You should be fine, unless your photos are huge and high definition, and your songs are higest quality possible and really long. Average songs are 7-10 MB, most photos are 5 kb. Small apps would be 5-30 MB. Totalling up these values and yoh get less than 8GB, so you should be good

Yes. A 8gb can hold 1000 songs, 25+ apps, 15+ videos and hundreds of photos. But if you want to add more songs, videos, apps and photos on your iPhone, better get a 16gb. Visit http://www.appfavour.com/ios/iphone if you want more apps for your iPhone.
