How do i change my profile picture here on yahoo?

You can use a photo or a Yahoo! cartoon avatar, and if you have a Facebook or Twitter account, you can also use those avatars.

Go to: http://profile.yahoo.com/y/settings/privacy/ - make sure your profile isn't hidden, because if it is, your avatar won't show.

If you want a cartoon avatar, go here to create one: http://avatars.yahoo.com/ - then click on "Yahoo!" under "Export your Avatar".

In case you want to use a Facebook or Twitter avatar, you need to link those accounts in the Profile options.

You have several options in case you want a photo avatar:
a) go to your Yahoo! Answers settings at http://answers.yahoo.com/my-activity/edit/about , click "Update photo or avatar",
b) go to your Yahoo! Profile at http://profile.yahoo.com/ , click on the current avatar.
Now upload a picture or choose one of the pics you've uploaded previously.

Note: you need to use a desktop computer in order to change your avatar, you can't do it with a mobile.

I don't think you can do it on your phone sorry, but here are some instructions on how to do it on the computer.

1. Go to 'Edit my preferences' on 'My activity.'
2. You will see your name then underneath it will say 'update photo.' Click on that.
3. Go on 'Add photo' if you want to upload one that isn't already there.
4. You will be taken to your Yahoo profile on a different page.
5. You will see your current profile picture in the middle of the screen with your name underneath, hover over the picture on click 'change picture.'
6. A box will load up under the profile picture where your name was. Click on upload picture on choose one that's already there.
7. If you click upload a picture your picture folder on your computer will pop up. Double click on the one you want then you are done.

It might take a while to change put if it doesn't soon then do steps 1 and 2 again and the picture should be there already. Just click on it then then click 'use selected.' I hope I helped.

At this time you can not make a avatar or upload a picture from a mobile device, perhaps that will change in the future.
For now profile changes must be made from a computer.
Go here , http://profile.yahoo.com top center put the arrow on your avatar, click change picture.
From there you can upload a image from your computer or import a picture from facebook. When finished click submit on the next page.

If you want a custom avatar go to one of these sites and make a custom avatar, save it to your computer and upload it as a picture.
