Long term effects of bullying?
Recently a friend and I were discussing some of the stories in the media about bullying.

Stories seem to be everywhere now,

People talking about their experiences and how it has effected their lives.

Do you believe bullying has negative or positive long term effects?

What do you believe they are?

And why are we suddenly shining all this light on bullying?

It is an ancient right of passage.

And has been going on since the beginning of time.

Why do we have such a problem with it now?

Some of the long term effects are depression, anxiety, social retardation, low self esteem, and low grades. The reason why many people are now trying to lower bullying is an attempt to help reform the educational system. Also it has caught media attention due to some children killing themselves becuae of bullying.
