How do I change my nickname on Yahoo Answers?

I logged in through my facebook years ago, I understand that your activity on this website is permant and cannot be deleted. But do I at least change my name so that it isn't available to everyone when they type my name on google?

I disconnected my facebook account, but when I try to change my nickname It says something along the lines of "sorry something went wrong". Someone please help!!!!

Hover over My Activity at the top of this page and click Edit My Preferences. You'll then be on your profile edit page. Click the "change name" link. Enter your desired name; click submit, then click the submit button on the bottom of the edit page. Note it may take a while for your changes to take effect.

If you're trying to do this on mobile, scroll to the bottom of the YA page and click the desktop link before doing any of the above.

And just so you know, you'll STILL be searchable on Google, but just with the different name that you pick.

If you continue getting the something went wrong error, clear your cache and temp files and try again.
