Is the current "female supremacy" climate a mere retribution to former male oppressors?

Is the current "female supremacy" climate a mere retribution to former male oppressors?
I have read an article on how the proposal of a "Men's Studies" department on a college campus is preposterous, as feminists state that "the men's centre is everywhere else". So, if this is true, does that not imply that men are indeed excelling their female counterparts in higher education, as opposed to females which many media resources like to accentuate? Perhaps not, but if women are exceeding in academia than why do many of them assail such proposals if they outperform men in the majority of academic fields anyway? Surely there would be no threat, unless an MS department promoted rape and any other form of male inflicted abuse, which would never happen.

This article I read also proclaims that women mainly dominate social studies and humanities, which I believe to be true. So, comprehending this to be accurate, this implies that female dominated areas within campus would be "feminised", right? Now if that is okay, why would a man's space be a problem for being "masculinised" - even men have denigrated such a department based on the male psyche to be sexism.

I suppose my main question is: is being born male really a negative thing? You may stress that in certain cultures, females receive the same demonisation, but here in the west, we promote freedom, equality and opportunities for anyone.

I personally would not enroll on a "Men's Studies" course if one were to ever emerge (I don't know if any exist in my country) but I personally do not see how a Women's Studies course is any more exigent - especially in this day and age.

Femininity=good
Masculinity= bad

Your thoughts?

How can a men's center be "everywhere else" if men are already a minority on campus, down to like 40% in a lot of universities?

This isn't a men's studies, it's a men's center.

"Men’s Centre was proposed by fifth-year accounting student Keenan Midgley, who told SFU’s student newspaper that he believes men, too, are entitled to safe space on campus."

What the feminist who wrote this article is saying is "Men don't deserve their own space, only women do."
This is your typical misandrist feminist thinking.
Feminists are mad that men are getting attention for issues we face. They can't stand not being in the spotlight.
Can't you just picture them stomping their feet saying "No fair no fair no fair!"? I sure can.

F*ck feminists. This is a good idea.

You get at many points. I do come across some feminists who desire entitlements for revenge purposes. Most however want entitlements for the simple reason that being entitled makes them better off. To gain their entitlements feminists engage in a variety of strategies. One of these strategies is to influence young adaptable students by teaching gender studies courses which of course are not legitimate studies of gender, they are indoctrination tools.

Feminism is soooo stupid, and that's coming from a teenage girl. I think that they don't realize that men are just as important as themselves, but they are so selfish, they don't realize anything beyond their own space. Yeah, I think that women were mistreated in earlier times, we deserve a right to speak and vote and work and all, but that doesn't have to mean men are terrible. Its all a bunch of crap to me feminism is sexism and a way of putting someone above someone else, and should not be tolerated in a country saying all people are created equal. Women should be equal in rights, such as voting as voicing opinions, but they shouldn't be treated better because they were born female. Statistically, men can do many things better than women can, physically, like there's a reason why men used to farm in the hot sun, lifting heavy things and working hard. Women are generally not fitted to do things like that, and women have only gone into the army recently. Women are generally better at being a mother- cooking, cleaning, organizing, raising children. Don't get me wrong, there are many exceptions. I said generally. As I said before, its crap.

I would not enroll in a Men’s Studies (or Women’s Studies) program. However, if the generic feminist position is correct, that there is strong gender stratification in modern society, that necessarily means men and woman will have drastically different perspectives and experiences in this world, each worthy of study and discourse.

No. Its just a social control program like McCarthyism, anti-semitism, soviet gulaging, etc.
The courts and gov't have made women overlords over men. Feminism devolved into misandry. Misandry And Misogyny Are Wrong Because They Are Both Hatred “Like an unchecked cancer, hate corrodes the personality and eats away its vital unity. Hate destroys a man's sense of values and his objectivity. It causes him to describe the beautiful as ugly and the ugly as beautiful, and to confuse the true with the false and the false with the true.” Martin Luther King Jr.(MLKJ)
Misogyny is the hatred or dislike of women or girls. Misandry is the hatred or dislike of men or boys.
Information on misogyny is widely available but often of little value due to its widespread adoption as propaganda to promote hatred. The inappropriateness of misandry is every bit as unacceptable as the inappropriateness of misogyny. As MLKJ said, both values and objectivity are destroyed by hate. This makes societies vulnerable to manipulation through propaganda.
“If you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes the truth. ” Joseph Goebbels.
These are commonly repeated statements made by misandrists that reflect their values and objectivity, or lack thereof. Such statements are clearly designed to incite hatred:
"All sex, even consensual sex between a married couple, is an act of violence perpetrated against a woman." -- Catherine MacKinnon - "The proportion of men must be reduced to and maintained at approximately 10% of the human race." -- Sally Miller Gearhart - "Men who are unjustly accused of rape can sometimes gain from the experience." Catherine Comins - "I want to see a man beaten to a bloody pulp with a high-heel shoved in his mouth, like an apple in the mouth of a pig." -- Andrea Dworkin.
These statements constitute hate crimes. Sections 318 and 319 are the relevant sections of the Canadian Criminal Code. The Criminal Code of Canada says a hate crime is committed to intimidate, harm or terrify not only a person, but an entire group of people to which the victim belongs. The victims are targeted for who they are, not because of anything they have done. A hate crime is one in which hate is the motive and can involve intimidation, harassment, physical force or threat of physical force against a person, a group or a property. In Canada it is also a crime to incite hatred. Propaganda, like the misandrists statements above, is information of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote or publicize a particular political cause or point of view.
Propaganda leads to brainwashing which is to make people foolishly believe something that is not true, Urban Dictionary. Also defined as a forcible indoctrination to induce someone to give up basic political, social, or religious beliefs and attitudes and to accept contrasting regimented ideas.
The riot at Warren Farrell's presentation on helping boy's issues in Toronto in November 2012 is forcible indoctrination to intimidate non-misandrists to adopt misandry which is hate mongering. The authorities such as the university, governments, criminal justice system, etc., all condoned and enabled the misandry behavior by ensuring that their terrorist acts go consequence free. Many of the groups rioting, as identified by their proudly displayed placards, are rewarded by Canadian government agencies for such behavior with funding.
The misandrist's attempts at eliminating free speech through intimidation and violence at the presentation on much needed solutions to boy's issues is a key component of Canada's social control programs. Social control refers to techniques and strategies for preventing human behavior that deviates from government mandated behavior. This behavior enforces Canada's social norms. Members of Canadian society are expected to act properly within the context of Canadian society’s social norms (misandry) which in turn establishes the misandrist's sadistic hate mongering moral and ethical standards by which Canadians now live.
“State propaganda, when supported by the educated classes and when no deviation is permitted from it, can have a big effect. It was a lesson learned by Hitler and many others, and it has been pursued to this day.” Noam Chomsky, Media Control: The Spectacular Achievements of Propaganda
In Canada, misandry is a massive state sponsored hate mongering industry as was proven at the riot and in subsequent non-responses by the Canadian government. The latter condoned the terrorist behavior and continues to fund the rioters involved. In Canada, any attempt to alleviate the pain and suffering of children is a risky and dangerous proposition if those children are males and targeted by hate mongering misandrists. Cheers!
