I figured at first it was just spam and not to open it but then I googled the term to confirm and it seemed legit and not a virus or solicitation.
Does anyone know about Fraley v. Facebook and why I am getting a notice as well as hundreds of others when it does not appear to be a virus?

There is an actual lawsuit. If you decide to join it and IF they can prove that your pictures were actually used in any ads (90% of Facebook users did not have their pictures used) you will get about $5-7 from the settlement

According to this website, it's legit. They say the payout is only around $10 though, and if too many people claim it, the $20 million will just go to a charity instead.

My husband got it too. He deleted his Facebook over a year ago and is wondering how they got his email address.

I've gotten this email too, and it is real.

This website has lots of useful information and clams to help. There is a possibility of getting up to $10 and also a form to exclude you from the case.

It’s not spam, because facebookmail is the same domain of facebook. The “ANGEL FRALEY V. FACEBOOK, INC” case is real.

You're entitled to $10.00 if your picture was used for advertisement purposes. But keep in mind, the U.S. Government and Police use your 'digital driver license pictures’ like mugshots in their police cars all the time: http://www.scribd.com/doc/47054620/BEWAR...nse-System

Try to collect $10 for them.
