How do 24/7 news channels and news bulletin programmes find out about news?
I know they now use lots of social media but I have Twitter and Facebook and I haven't found anything news worthy on it. What else do they use and how can I use it?

They have reporters all over the world and probably work with news channels in other countries to find new news.

There are a few news organisations around the world (like Reuters) who 'feed' these TV news outlets with news items from 'there own teams' of worldwide reporters....and the TV companies 'pay' a subscription fee for that service.
Its cheaper than TV outlets sending out 'their' news teams to different world areas - unless a big news story needs 'on site viewing' - then these TV companies will dispatch there own people. Check out Reuters....you'll get up the too date news on offer. |
