How much website traffic would you need to make this much?
I want to make a blog on blogger and I'm hoping to make $200 from CPM Adsense ads. How much traffic would that require? Please no rude answers I made websites before but never monetized them. Thanks!

The return from Adsense depends on the subject matter and quality of the site, 1/2 cent per visitor is one ballpark estimate I have seen used or ad revenue in general, suggesting you would need at least 40,000 visitors. some blogs never reach the $100 min payout for Adsense.

Typically you have to make a serious commitment to having a quality site, creating an original quality post 1 or 2 times a week at least.

There are several factors to consider before you can make a good gauge to how much traffic it takes to make a certain amount from Adsense ads.

The quality of your content, where you place your ads, how you naturally you blend your ads within the content etc will affect the CTR (Click-thru Rate) of your ads.

At the same time, the assumption here is that you're receiving organic traffic from the search engines and not using paid methods. Otherwise your costs will eat into your Adsense revenues.

What you can do for a rough estimate is to go into the Google Keyword Tool, find out what the average CPC is for your keywords, do a bit of research on what the average CTR is for your niche, then break it down till you reach your $200 goal.

That will give you a ballpark figure.

Hope this helps!

Why do you want to monetize your site with Adsense. Your are getting paid pretty much purely by clicks. You need to have a huge amount of visitors to get $200/month

Some say that Adsense is to pay electric bills, and I'm pretty sure everyone here will agree.

Of course if you are running 100 blogs, you can make some profit, but as for main monetizing option, it's rarely the best way. You might want to concider other options too.
