How much Data to get for Overseas?

I have a Huawei G300 on Virgin Mobile. I am going to Paris next month for a few days (will be out of the UK for approx 72 hours) and have just been looking at Virgin's overseas data plans.

They offer 5MB, 10MB, 25MB and 100MB Data Travel Passes, but I am not sure how much I am likely to use. There is wifi at the hotel we are staying at, so I will only want to have internet access when we are not at the hotel, probably to check facebook, twitter and email occasionally - certainly a lot less than I would check them here!

I have seen people on other questions saying it is pictures which use the limit, I assume they mean to upload, or just from people's posts? I don't really want to use all my data loading up the rubbish my friends post on their facebooks!

I'd really appreciate some advice on how much data I am likely to use and which plan would be best. I don't want to have to pay for extra data (ouch!) but nor do I want to buy too much that won't get used.

Should probably add that I will be in Disneyland Paris for 2 of the 3 days!

You're only going for 72 hours. Wouldn't it be better to just make use of free wifi spots. They're in a few places in Paris, and if you buy a coffee at a lot of shops, they give you a complimentary 15 minute wifi voucher to log on. Not to mention the fact, your hotel will probably have free wifi in the foyer. Virgin Mobile offer tiny data allowances, so you'll go over and make lots of money for them due to their extortionate data roaming charges.You could easily use 10MB in 10 minutes! Plus, it's not only Facebook you have to worry about. If there's other apps on in the background, they could easily send you over your limit in no time and cost you hundreds. It's up to you though, when I go overseas I tend to turn off Data Roaming on my phone and restrict it to wifi only.
