I need to set my dell latitude d620 with vista back to new. I have done what everyone says with hitting "f8" but it never shows the option for "factory image"?

Please help

It is possible that in the past the harddrive was re-formatted and your system recovery partition is long gone.
The only solution would be to google search for the factory image or order a replacement disk from dell.
They can ship it to you if you tell them that you accidentally formatted the recovery partition

Hello Andrew,

I am from Dell Social Media and Community.

Unfortunately the D620 does not ship with the factory image. You can follow the link below to manually install the operating system using the recovery discs.

If this has not helped you or if you need any further assistance, feel free to message me on Twitter. I will be happy to assist.
