If I post a msg on facebook page of a group (our university dorm group) would my friendlist be notified ?

I am have become a member in the facebook group allocated for our university residence. I wonder if I can send a message on the group and only the members of the group (university residence facebook group) would be notified, and not all my other friends who are added in my friend list on facebook.

Only those of your friends will get the Message (that you updated in the group) who are members of that specific group... The rest of the friends won't be bothered

If the group privacy is 'CLOSE' or 'SECRET' then only those friend will be notified who are also members of that group.

If the group privacy is public, all the friends of your friendlist will be notified.
