I have Google Chrome and it won't let me choose a Theme, or install any apps?

So yesterday I was trying to download something onto my computer, which turned out to be a virus. But I uninstalled everything and my computer is safe. But for some reason, it made Google Chrome act up... It changed my homepage to some weird random site. But I deleted that too, so my homepage is back to normal... But I uninstalled Chrome last night, and then installed it again but it still won't let me download any themes, or put any apps.... The only app I really want is the add blocker for YouTube and Facebook and all that.... So should I try clearing all of my history if I need to uninstall it again?

Have you checked your computer's Time and Date settings if they have been reversed or changed by the virus you have downloaded? Make sure that they are the right time and date so that you can completely access the Chrome App Store. This was the case of me before and was fixed by a few clicks here and there in the Time and Date settings.
