Is it true that Myspace and Facebook bring many viruses to my computer?

My computer got hit with a lot of viruses. I took it to my guy to have the viruses removed and he told me not to go on Myspace or Facebook because they are the biggest sites for viruses to get on my computer. I am having a hard time believing this. I am not on these sites all day and everyday. If you could let me know more about this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanking you in advance for any info you could give me.

they have been accoused about privacy issues but not for viruses...so i think that the websites as such do not bring viruses...not sure about pictures and other stuff you download from them!

I've heard that a lot like pages that aren't actually on facebook but rather from another site often carry viruses

The sites them selfs dont well not that ive heard any stories. But people clicking on random links posted by friends to other sites do . So as long as your careful what links you open you shouldnt get any virus from myspace or facebook

There have been one or two threats in the past year, but Facebook has been right on it!

better stop using it cuz there is not any protection
