Help advertising chiropractic?
I am an office manager at a chiropractic office, and trying to find ways to get this business out there. We offer both chiropractics and massages, so I have been able to run deals with various website such as living social and morgan's deal, we have found that the area that we are located in, screenings are not effective. Our website is easy to use, and we have a facebook page (but not many people have liked that)

What are some preferably cheap ways to advertize? Or if you have websites that educate on how to effectively market, that would be much appreciated as well.

Thank you for your time and help.

I'd create an awesome little ebook or report on how to take care of your back, or something like "3 things you never want to do to your back" whatever it is. Then create a newsletter sign up (preferably a pop up box) on your site and offer the report to sign ups. Then create an autoresponder sequence to bring people in. Let them know why you started the office, why the chiropractors are passionate about it etc. Then start to offer discounts and specials in your email feed. Include customer testimonies and how you can help them feel better.
To get more traffic to your site, start a simple facebook campaign and just target people in your area. Offer the free report as incentive for them to visit your site.

A chiropractor in my town stands outside his office in his long white lab coat and a stethoscope around his neck, and waves at people as they drive by. Not really sure if this helps his business, but everyone in town talks about him, and it doesn't cost a thing. I guess I don't understand why a chiropractor has to advertise at all.

I'm into Facebook marketing for a number of my customers so I can recommend a few things:

The main no.1 fan-puller on Facebook is by offering some freebies on your page for new likes. This usually involves running contests or offers on your page and giving out say a free massage or a chiropractic session or a checkup, by drawing a winner from new fans say bi-weekly or monthly. There are Facebook Apps to do that (I have my own suite of Fan Apps at http://www.facebook.com/fandriveapps you can have a look at, but of course there are others). Such apps implement a 'fan-gating' concept which means that a person has to 'Like' your page to participate.

You may also link your Facebook Page to your website and vice-versa, add fan-only additional content to your Page such as massage explanations and videos, correct postures, back-care, how-to's, do's and dont's and basic recovery exercises for specific pains/issues. That way you would give your page added value and encourage people to like it.

Also add a link to your Facebook Page prominently on your website and always add links to both your website and Facebook Page in any official stationary (business cards, brochures, cash sales, invoices, etc.) as well as below your name in any email signatures. You can add 'signatures' to Outlook, Outlook Express and most other email programs including online email such as Gmail, Yahoo, etc., which automatically add your signature to any outgoing email or replies.

Also browse other Facebook pages of a similar (but not exact same) line of business and leave meaningful or helpful posts to users there using Facebook as your page and not as yourself. That way you leave a link back to your page on each post. However be careful and be ethical about it as otherwise you may irritate page-owners if you overdo it and it looks like spam. You may also find and contact other health sites/pages and contact the owner to agree on a mutual linking or info sharing between yourselves (basically exchanging links on each other's sites or even exchanging informative posts and articles). It's also good practice to go beyond Facebook and find health-sites and blogs where you can positively contribute (not spam) by answering people's queries or posting interesting tit-bits about your subject matter and of course sign the post with links to your site and Facebook.

Finally advertising on Facebook itself is the best method of attracting Likes. With FB you can target sex, age-groups and specific locations so you may keep it local. (That said it is mainly targeting cities and not remote towns or areas but depends on your location). Assuming you can zoom in your location FB Adds are usually quite affordable and get good results.

Hope I have been of help and do feel free to pm me should you require more details...

well advertising i difficult but chiropractic offers help to all ages. many people don't no what chiro is so maybe you should place a ad on your car like a large sticker or like what buses do with the advertising on the vehicle u no? but you should also try asking friends to like your page and suggest your business to their friends. another thing you can try is printing your own black and white pamphlets and go around the community and deliver them into mailboxes (make sure its B and W or printing will cost heaps) or if you dont have the time to go door to door; if you no any teenagers or older kids that would be interested to do that for you and you give them like 10 dollars per hour? (kids would do it for the money). another thing is going to your local shopping centre and posting a ad on the noticeboards. You can try newspaper ads.

the most important thing you place on these pamphlets is a slogan that will catch a persons eye. think what the consumer wants and the most important thing to them not you, once you have their attention talk about your services and what chiro really is, and make sure you have your address, business hours, telephone number and facebook page is on there. dont put your prices on there and dont have a colourful background because if your going to print out black and white then it will make you look cheap, so keep it a white background or simple pattern. dont have too many pictures as the reader will not concentrate on the main part of text as people are lazier, but do include a few pics like of you adjusting a person, the spine, people being massaged (as people see a relaxing part of chiro or if you do deep tissue sorta thing they will see it as a massage). and dont forget to mention all your services like deep tissue but explain what it is in the most comfortable way for the reader possible and dont make it confusing or technical as the reader will get lost and have no idea what your trying to do.

anyways good luck with your business and remember that you cant have your prices high at the start as the new patients will get scared off as economy sucks right now, and when you have ther ammount of patients inttended then you can raise your prices.
