How many friends do you think is the AVG number of facebook friends?

I don't tend to believe in this things, but this site here says that the number average number of "friends" on facebook is well over what I have....http://www.oddee.com/item_97980.aspx

The funny thing is, I have to wonder why you would add people and share what's going in your life with them if you don't even know them at all.

When I was working...I added all my co-workers and had about 15 friends...but after I got laid off I deleted them...

Then I had about 10 friends...

Now that I don't talk to them anymore, I have only 1 friend on facebook and only use it as a messenger service.

So how many friends do you have on facebook....and why?

i have ~330 friends, including people who blocked me. i have this many cause im pratically the most well known person in my school, and i have friends outside of the us, who introduce me to even more friends, and they intr... (bla bla bla)

An 'average'? In which age group? In which contry/region? In which education group? An all-round average that is totally irrelevant?

It totally does not matter. What you're doing is probably right: adding people who are in real life your friends, colleagues, whatever, and not using Facebook as a virtual life with fake friends.

If you're 6th grade and under=300 or less.
If you're middle school=500+
If you're high school and college=1,000+
If you're in your 20s=1,000+
If you're in your 30s=300-600
If you're 40+ years old=200-300

But it's up to you how many friends you want, iMean it is your facebook page, therefore you can have as many friends as you want. I'm in high school and iHave 1800+ friends. I have that amount of number of friends because I got all my friends, family, schoolmates on there. Most of my friends iDo not know. Some send me friend request and although, iDont know them iStill accept it.
