What are signs that a boy likes you?

I'm 14 and there's a boy in 3 of my classes and his locker is next to mine and he always talks to me. When I ask him on Facebook about how to do something in the homework, he'll write like a paragraph of what to do. He always flirts with me. I can basically write a whole book on everything he has done. His friend even thinks we're dating. But he basically talks to everyone. He's in the "popular" group. What are signs that a boy likes you when he talks to everyone? Like how should he "treat" you different when he talks to everyone since he's popular?

Well if he likes you, he'll talk to you MORE than anyone else. Also he replies like right away. He looks at you a special way. He loves starting convos with you. But honestly who cares at 14? Just be friends first.

-If he complements you even when you don't feel pretty.
-Get's upset when you talk to other guys or speak about them to him.
You can also ask his friends if he likes you. If you don't want them to get the hint that you like their friend then say your just curious because you know someone who likes him.
