Why didn't the founders put Medicare and Social Security in Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution?
Is it because they knew the free market handles social affairs better than the government

The founders were against...big government, and social handouts...
Why else do you think the Liberals work so hard to discredit them... |

Because back then when you saw a DR. you gave him a Chicken for the services. Social Security was not needed because Citizens looked out for their fellow man!!!

Because they couldn't see into the future to determine that medicare and social security would be created about 150 years later.
Why didn't the founding fathers put anything into Article 1 Section 8 of the constitution concerning the FCC. If they wanted radio and television broadcasting to be regulated why didn't they put it into the Constitution! Of course radio was still over a hundred years in the future but hey, what the heck! |

When the Constitution was signed, only the rich people had medical care and people worked until they dropped dead.
