Illegal or not college question?
During classes people text an use their computers. Sometime I watch what those people are doing. Such as a guy and I watched a girl from class spend at least 2 grand on clothes one semester. But it is legal to see someones text messages or Facebook pages while they are on them during class.
I do not use the information for anything. I just happen to see from time to time while bored durin lecture. It is hard not to look while there is a bright light in from of me. Is it illegal or legal to see someones Facebook messages/pages, texts, web pages while sitting in class in college?? It is hard sometimes not to look. I don't do it on purpose. It just happens Ads |

If someone is sitting in front of you and doing something on a laptop, that person has no legal expectation of privacy.

No, its not illegal that you see something right in front of you.
If something is in plain sight there is no expectation of privacy attached. If they didn't want anyone to see their messages or purchases then they shouldn't have them open while in a public setting where anyone behind them can see what they are doing. |
