job application asks for twitter username, should I give it?

On a media job application form it's asking me if I'm on twitter- If you tick yes, you have to give you're twitter username.
I am on twitter, but I'm unsure about giving it out for a job application. It's a personal account, but open to public.. it's not TOO embarrassing. The job is in media, so it would be good to show I can use twitter and social media.... just really unsure. Anyone had this problem before?

no, they want to see what you say on there to your friends.by the way they will probably check your facebook account too.
