Do teens in New Zealand have a facebook?

i was recently on holiday in New Zealand and i met a couple of teens but when i mentioned if they had a Facebook they said no. i was like wow teens here are a lot behind because teens in America, Canada,the UK and Australia all have a Facebook.

So if you don't have facebook your technology,education,ect. is a lot behind other countries?
Not everyone has the same opinion.
Maybe they use something else.

yes, they do. one of my buddies goes over there every year and has a bunch of family, all of em have facebook, even the kids

Well, FB exists there (I have gaming friends on FB from NZ) but maybe not everyone is as interested in it as we are in the USA.

You spoke to two people? That's very little data to work with! I live in New Zealand and all my friends have Facebook (I'm 21 years old and my friends are around about that age). Nearly everyone has Facebook, and all the university clubs are coordinated via Facebook. The only New Zealanders who don't have Facebook are the 40+ aged folks: they tend to use Facebook, but they're not regular users.

I'm 14 and my school has approximately 1000 students.
At least 90% have facebook.

Teachers have even set up facebook pages and encourage us to check it (because no one checks the school site lol).

Everyone likes facebook.

Because everyone likes facebook so much, we're forced into doing this 'Facebook Privacy' thing every year.

Maybe it's just the school I'm in, but everyone I know has at least gone on Facebook before (maybe not a member, just a guest). Not everyone uses facebook though, some prefer sites like Myspace (I think that's what it's called), Twitter, Bebo and this other site I can't remember. :/

But yeah, teens in NZ sure have facebook. Not all, but not a minority either.
