My phone wont notify me wen i get facebook messenger messages?

I have a coolpad 4g from metro pcs, ever since today it wont notify me wen i get fb messages on messenger, i tried restarting the fone, i even rebooted it and it still does the same thing, wat should i do!!!???

go to setting, options, check apps that you want notifications

Try getting the Facebook Messenger app. It notifies me right away. and its specifically made for facebook messages so it is sure to alert you , if you allow it.
