Does Facebook send profile updates to your wall?
When I started coming out as a lesbian in November, I took my relationship status and "interested in" areas down from my profile. I'm ready now to add them back in, but don't want to make a big deal of it. So I'd like to have them appear if someone goes looking, but not pop up on all my friends' news feed. Is that possible?

PS I'm single, don't know if that's important.

yes, of course but you have to determine that facebook is login or not then your request are sacrified on them.

if you change it when it's private, obviously it doesnt post it into peoples' news feeds

if you change the privacy of it, there is no notification sent to your friends that you made it public, and it is now different than it used to be

so yes, it's possible.... change the privacy of it to public AFTER you change your orientation

This would be a yes if you have not modified or changed your Facebook Privacy and general settings. Dependent on how you have your activities setup changes either be reflected to the Public, friends or you only. Check your settings and change accordingly to how you prefer.
