Android phone almost full but sd card has 1.5 gb free? what is loading up my phone?

I literally have no pics or video saved. I looked at installed apps and they are mostly onthe sd card already. How can i clear more space on my phone? It says i only have 22mb left. Are there places that load up caches or something i can clear?

uninstall apps that you never use, and clear temporary data

go into settings > manage apps where the whole list of apps are, go into every app and scroll down a little, there should be a "cache" thing, telling you how much there is, and a "wipe cache" button, click it, (it's just temporary data), some apps can take up to 20MB of cache (facebook) whilst some take up nothing, but it will definitely free up some space.
