What other plans are available and what costs?

Who is the Blackberry carrier provider? (e.g. Verizon)

Do you already have and use a Blackberry?

Is it possible to start with a plan and then reduce the number of Mb in the data plan if you look at usage logs? (Better to be under the quota than over it.)

One image alone can be 50k. That seems like nothing, but if you do a LOT of browsing, you'd find that number ramping up fairly quickly.

I would say the best thing to do is look at existing logs for a month and extrapolate those numbers, if the quota is 500Mb/mo. But if nobody else can answer your question properly, go for the 500Mb plan and FREQUENTLY check your usage. Then you can increase the plan without incurring a big cost because of going over the quota.

Or avoid any plan that puts in quotas and go with an unlimited plan and not even think of worrying. Of course, if anyone sells "Unlimited data!" but then sends you a notice that you're using too much data connectivity -- under that situation, I'd cancel that plan and say they are breaching the contract. Unlimited = UNLIMITED. Otherwise it's limited.
