Yes people paid into SS but so did 401k people to the stock market.

Because the government should keep its promises, and Obama can't even do that. People should get back what they paid plus interest, and the politicians who raided the fund should be held accountable, just like Bernie Madoff.

The government requires employers to deduct SS contributions and Medicare contributions from worker pay checks. That some presidents pillaged social security in order to pay for other programs is the larger problem. They spent the money on other things because they were fiscally irresponsible. The government doesn't force you to have a 401(k) - yet.

Its a bad plan but people did pay into it. why not cut Obamacare first or perhaps fix any of these wasteful programs/spending

Just wait till the check is not deposited. Any person who is educated and took civics classes will know who to blame. It is certainly not the president.
