Please read, is he lying?

I was talking to this guy. He liked me and I liked him, we'd talk all the time. We arranged to go on a date but then he just stopped talking to me. We'd been texting/flirting and he just said 'I'm sick of you xxx' I sent a sad face thinking he was joking but never heard off him for weeks. Our date was supposed to be last week. (We live 2 hours apart and don't drive otherwise it would have been sooner)

He text at 2.30 this morning cos I put a status saying I had bad toothache. He was trying to be sweet and normal. I was off with him and he asked what he'd done wrong so I told him. He said he'd text 3 times in the last 2 weeks with no response. I never got any texts and he'd ignored me on twitter too so I didn't believe him. He then sent 3 texts which he made out were the ones he'd sent - but he could've just typed them up then. I was too tired so told him to just leave it and he said ok.

Do you think he's lying? It just seems that way to me.
