Are the spree murders in Birmingham and the US products of poor Government?
In a society of a weak judiciary with a corrupt, incompetent Government, bereft of leadership or management skills, without positive messages for the future, out of control, constantly "fire fighting", re-active, not pro-active. driving weak willed people to murder to gain recognition.
What kind of person would otherwise commit the premeditated killing of two Big Issue sellers doing something positive about their their future? Is it envy? Ads |

He probably has some sort of mental illness and possibly a bad childhood.
However both of those things could have been handled better if the government wasn't such a mess. Ads |

No.
They are products of society. We live in a post Christian world and we have no moral foundation that is standard across the western world. It's called "moral recidivism"; that's where every man does what he thinks is right in his own mind. No standards, no strong foundation, no truisms to lean on. Just a rudderless society ploughing through the waves as the wind takes us. Leadership in the government isn't the problem, it's leadership in our social orders that is the problem. Mainly in the family unit. Not enough men in the family units to teach the boys how to be men and too, too many single mother families stretched to the limit on all fronts. It's acceptable today to see and allow that, so where the hell are our children going to learn different? The social order has beaten down the churches to the point of irrelevance now. The grand feminist movement has beaten the men into pulps of oestrogen servants, the technology of today has put everyone in touch with every imaginable concept globally and that itself is an overkill on the information highway. Makes you wonder how the hell the individual can sustain sanity with the full assault of the media on a daily basis. The government has nothing to do with it; they simply give the people what they want. Mainly it's what the the minorities "don't want" and the silent majority sits on the sidelines mute. They don't want prayers in school, they don't want "organized religion", they don't want the bible in public squares, they don't want the standards of our grandparents in the courthouse, and they don't want to hurt any ones feelings! So the government oils the squeaky wheel and the cart moves on with another hunk of material carved out of the axle. You can see what's going to happen and it isn't the governments fault, it's the fault of society. |

Since punishment is actually a joke, whats to stop these wackos?
They know that the worst that will happen is that they'll spend some years in some country-club prison, with better cable TV than most of us can afford, and better access to drugs, and even if they get the death penalty it's not likely to happen for at least 20 years -- longer than they would have lived on the street anyhow. The justice system is f****ed, and I think we know which parties are responsible. |
