Why does my computer switch itself off and then come straight back on again?
It seems to do this mainly when im on you tube viewing videos or on facebook applications such as farmtown etc. It also does it sometimes when im on media player listening to music. The room it is in does get quite wam so i thought it may be over heating but it never used to do this. Also it doesnt seem to have any virus on it.

happened with me caused by dust inside the computer, spent over 1hr cleaning it with vacuum cleaner and compressed air, ok since

You may be right. If the fan on the processor is not running at peak speed, the processor can heat up and cause a shutdown/reboot. Also, memory errors may cause this scenario. You may want to check the Event Viewer to see what may be happening within a specific program.
