No, that's fine. You are only doing 9 (10 if english is both language and literature), many people do more than this.

Hi
It depends on your school. I'm a teacher, and there, students have to do the following: Maths English Science (Chemistry/Biology/Physics) A language (French/Spanish/German/Latin/Russian/Mandarin [Students taking Russian or Mandarin have to choose another one to go with it]) PE (no exam. one lesson per week) Ethics & Philosophy (RE, EP) The students can choose three other subjects from the following list: Applied Business Studies Digital Media Engineering Health and Social Care Business Studies Fashion and Textiles D+T Food Fine Art Geography Graphics History ICT Performing Arts (Drama) PE and Sport (Students who do this will have three lessons a week and will complete both theory and practical exams) Resistant Materials Computer Science Electronic Products Music Photography *Animal Care and Horticulture *Construction *Salon Servies (Hair and Beauty) Subjects with a * in front are only offered in other local secondary schools. Students will have to visit there for these subjects. Students also have a 'Reserve Subject' which is the subject that they will study if one of their chosen subjects is over subscribed or cannot be run. 98% of students get all of their chosen subjects without a problem. Students also get the offer of participating in subjects BEFORE and AFTER school hours. These subjects are Ethics & Philosophy (Extra Lesson), Latin and Music. The amount of options you are eligible to select depends on your school. Good luck! J |
