Has anyone ever had trouble not checking on an ex on social media?

It's like you want to see what they are up to, but no matter what you see it doesn't make you feel better, but you still want to see!

Any stories about this?

Me and my ex are done. 3 years together, broke up this week. seemingly for good (or a long while) Blocked me from FB/Twitter. I know I'm going to run into her (we share a close mutual friend that is having a big party in the end of March, and other close friends) so that question of "I wonder what she's doing" is on my mind even though I know I won't see her for a couple months.

She's very active on Twitter and Instagram and even though I'm blocked I can still see her profile if I wanted to because her account isn't on private. I keep getting the urge to look even though it accomplishes nothing.

Yes, you feelings are normal. You were a big part of each others' lives for 3 years. And, you'll keep seeing each other because of mutual friends.

You have a grieving process to go through with the breakup of a long relationship. It may take a while to be comfortable enough to move on.
