Is it possible to get rid of a virus on my laptop without cost?
I have a virus on my laptop that I received through facebook. It doesn't allow me to open any program on my laptop including internet explorer ( I am currently on another pc). Does anyone know of any way to get rid of this virus without paying? Help would be greatly appreciated.

go to http://www.malwarebytes.com and download the free version to a USB drive. Then take the USB drive to your pc and install it there.

Yes! Go to Malwarebytes.com, superantispyware.com, hitmanpro.com, and then go to (copy and paste first) http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download...irus/rkill
Download all of the following things to your good PC. For Rkill, it will be the first download on the list. Click on it, then click save. Plug in your flash drive. Next, to move those over to your flash drive, you must open "My Computer". You will see a new drive letter that says it is removable storage or something similar. Then just copy + paste, or drag the Anti Virus programs into that folder. When finished, remove the flash drive. Next, go into safe mode(laptop) turn it back on and keep pressing F8 until a screen appears. Choose Safe Mode WITHOUT Networking. Viruses need internet to work. When it loads, plug in the drive into your laptop (turned on of course). More than likely, it will say new hardware found, and just follow those steps. If it says it may later on hurt your computer, yadda yadda, just click continue anyway. its just because you havent used that with that computer before. Everything pretty much just explains itself. Then, run all of the anti virus scans, doing Rkill last. And reboot. If you need anymore help, email me at lilypad224@yahoo.com. |
