I assume you have to be online to use apps such as facebook and twitter, but do you have to be on wi-fi to use apps like games and word processing?

No, you only need to be on wi-fi for apps that require the internet.

Some apps might require wifi for leaderboards and other things, but nor for playing the game, unless you want to play online.

it depends what app it is. If its an app like facebook then you need wifi
