Do I have to have a particular bios version to run windows 7 on my dell inspiron?
My dell inspiron came with windows 8 loaded and I want to change to windows 7 would I need to flash the bios to a different version in order to do that?

Just pop in a windows 7 CD and re install everything fresh .

Hello rich,
My name is Krishna and I work for the Social Media and Community Team at Dell. The BIOS version does not need a change for a Windows 7 downgrade, however this is possible only if the system was pre-installed with Windows 8 Pro. Microsoft does not provide a downgrade path for customers with other versions of Windows 8.
