I have AT&T in case that helps. Also does it use up data when i'm just doing that message thing ya know? Where I send a command to the number and it does whatever it does to my twitter?

Mobile twitter on your phone is just like texting. All you do is text the number for twitter, and it's just a normal text message. doesn't use internet or anything.
