How to I get my facebook back to english?

I recently went to France for a month and while I was there all my facebook ads and games automatically set to french which was fine then, but now that I'm back in Canada the games and ads are all still in french and won't set back to english even though I've reset where I live and the language settings.
** I've already changed my language settings to english again so that's not the problem.

go to setting to change language. If not there I'm pretty sure it's on the front page.

Go to the account menu (look for the pull down arrow next to "Home" at the top). Select Account Settings, which is the second option from the top in the list. Then go to General Settings (make sure the first line with the icon with the gears on the left panel is highlighted). The last line is for language. Select "Edit" next to the pencil on the bottom right line of words. Change to "English."

Go to the very bottom of your home page, and on the left is the language it is set to. Click on that, and you will get a list of available languages you can use. Click on the one you want.
