Who said this, the two goals of the US economy: “expand the wealth of the world and to distribute [it] fairly,?
And he also said this: “And I think in the United States over the last generation or two we’ve been much better at generating wealth and much less good at distributing it.”

Yes. The CEO of Goldman Sachs has been brainwashed by the liberal media! Someone do an intervention and give him 48 hours straight of Fox News!

Cons are such knee-jerk reaction-ridden fools that the mere mention of "wealth" and "distribution" in the same sentence makes them see visions of the USSR under the iron fist of Joseph Stalin.

When in reality the US has always used the tax code to redistribute wealth. And there's nothing wrong with that. I worked for the federal government for 4 years, and the reason why I had my car, place to live, amenities, health care, schooling, and money in my pocket was through wealth redistribution.

Nobody but a socialist or trade unionist would use a weasel word such as "fairly." What does that word mean? Well, each of us has only one brain, one pair of eyes through which to view the world, and a unique sense of our own morality and deservedness. I am such a person myself. From my perspective I am the center of the Universe, and fairness would dictate that I be richly rewarded for being the uniquely wonderful me. Then reality crops up and reminds me that several billion people feel exactly the same way that I do. Good grief! Does that mean I have to start doing something and stop just being somebody?! How unfair is that?
