i got a new macbook pro wont turn on?

i have it on sleep usually and i opened it and the screen was reallly really dark navy ish. its kinda humming and doing a clicky kind of thing but not a click. i held the off button and it turned off, and now whenever i hold the on button it goes back to the dark navy, but won't turn on?
when i hold down the button and it goes from black to navy it clicks louder than the occasional small click from being navy
