how did my personal identity become public knowledge?
while posting a comment under my user name @Cats received 2 threats from posters using my real name - AT&T refused to help - said I have no right to privacy - how did they get my real name - i have no profile, don't use twitter or facebook so how did these two gain acsess to my real name

Posting where? Apart from that, are you certain that your machine is not infected with spyware, this could be how they have your details. and AT&T are right, most things you sign up for make you sign away your right to privacy.

Twitter and Facebook are not the only ways to get personal data. If you use the internet at all, your data
is out there. The more you use the internet, the more data gets out there. Boycotting the internet may prevent more data getting out, but it will not delete the data already there. |
