Do I need an Internet connection to use apps?

For some, yes. Facebook would be useless without an internet connection, for example, but a game that is not multiplayer over the internet does not need it.

some apps you will need internet access, for example facebook, tapfarm. if the app needs to be kept track of or involves the internet all together then yes, otherwise no you do not
