Can you download apps on the kindle app store or anywhere else without a credit card number?

I just got my Kindle Fire HD and i tried to download Netflix and Facebook and Angry Birds, etc. And every time I tried a pop up came up that said I would have to have a billing address.So i clicked on it and i cant do anything without putting in my credit number. Could I just buy a walmart prepaid debit card, and give it that? Or are there sites where i can download the apps and games, etc fir free? thanks for any help!

Karla,we bought one of those for my Dad for Christmas. The same thing happened. Those apps that appear on the screen are all from Amazon. What you should do is go to Walmart ,buy that prepaid card and load money on it. Then go to Amazon and open up an account and enter the card information. You then can buy and download any app you want from Amazon,as long as you have enough on the card. Amazon has a lot of free apps also,but you still need an account with a card. As far as other sites. you could do a search for apps and try to download from other sites. I will be looking into that also. You probably need an account with a card on any site you get apps from,even free ones.
