Cant get over my EX BOYFRIEND !? advice, help anything appreciated!!?

my ex has a problem with drugs not that this should be any excuse but im staying it anyway. he abuses cocaine and alcohol and also marijuana. he has been lyingto me saying he has been staying with his grandfather getting sober meanwhile i go on his fb and hes messaging girls telling them to come over cause he has a free crib. this is not only the first time hes hurt me, a while back he asked for money telling me someone was gonna kill him if he didnt get this money so like a good girlfriend, i gave it to him and i never saw it ever again. he promised to pay me back, he says he loves me but his love for drugs alcohol is much more stronger.. i gave him everything and now i still feel hurt and lost, i just dont want to think about him but i do. i want to be able to be okay

You are in a really tough situation. I think that you need to steer clear of him. Start by stop checking on his Facebook. Try to avoid things that remind you of him. Read a good book, hang out with friends. Just keep preoccupied and it should help.

I feel sorry for you. Although you have strong feelings for him, it's best you stay away. You should start talking to other guys and lose attention to your ex.

Even though it's hard, you have to realize that things will be okay. The first step is accepting that you did all you could do for this guy, and he threw it all in your face and used you. The second step is being angry. You don't deserve him, if he's gonna treat you like that, then that's stupid, you sound like an amazing person, and you don't need him. The third step is filling your time. Go do fun things with friends, create new memories, date other guys if you're ready, but do it for you and because you deserve to be happy, not to get back at him. The last thing is to leave him alone. It will be harder if you try to keep up with him. Unfriend him on Facebook or turn off the notifications from him, you can't live in the past, live for now, make a new future for yourself. If you can't get over someone through regular means you should try to do stuff like your hobbies and stuff, keep your mind occupied so you don't think of him. Besides from what I just read... he sounds like a douche bag or scumbag if that gets censored
