Can I pay someone to get me a job?
I once saw an ad on craigslist where someone said if you find him an oil rig job, he will pay you $200. I am thinking on doing something like that. Saying "Find me a job and I will pay you $50. Any job." How would I go about doing that?
If someone accepts the offer, what do they do? Ads |

Sure. That's been around for years. Employment agencies. They find you a job, you pay them for doing so.

There are many people who can find you jobs. But nobody who can get you a job.
Employment agencies can sometimes help, as can recruiters, but remember -- they work for the employer. Their job isn't to get you a job, their job is to fill the employer's job. So as long as you seem like a great candidate, they're your BFF. The moment that proves not to be true, most won't even return your phone calls. Career coaches can help you make a better resume, help you find jobs, coach you to do better in interviews, teach you how to use social media to find a job, etc. But only you can get the job. |
