Why does my Macbook pro max at 1280x800 on my external display?
I have a 13in early 2011 Macbook Pro. I'm using a Thunderbolt to HDMI cable and running it to my 40in Sony Bravia (LCD). Is it possible to get to at least 1080p reso? Because on Apple it says my macbook can support up to 2560 by 1600 reso on an external display. Or is that just with an Apple display.... I'm planning on selling my 40in tv for a 32in LED Tv, a bit newer, for college. Will my MBP be able to Dual display with the 32in and with higher res than 1280x800?
