When a girl takes ages to reply to your message?

It's been four days since I sent this girl a Facebook message (I wished her a happy birthday and asked how her winter break is going) and she still hasn't replied even though she's logged in multiple times (I've seen her on the news feed). The thing is she was really excited when I asked her to go on a date with me after winter break, so I know she's interested. That's what makes this so confusing. Why is it taking so long?

Ask her again and add something in the message like "if you're not interested just say it and stop wasting both of our time because I've got bigger fish to fry."

The only good excuse for her would be if she didn't get your message, otherwise don't waste your time cause reason why she's not replying doesn't matter, she's just not replying.

be patient man. don't send anymore messages either - it's her turn to reply. One of my good friends was in the same situation, didn't get a reply (it was also on facebook) for over a month. They were in college at the time. Now, they're married. Take care

Fu*king girls like this...nobody will ever know but most of the time they are bad news so tread cautiously. Do not message her again. Please do not give her the satisfaction of knowing you care. Even if there was some sort of malfunction with Facebook, which is extremely unlikely or maybe she legitimately didn't see it, there's no reason for her not to hit you up eventually if she is still into you or to ask whether or not the date is still on. You need to play this as if you have other options and if she doesn't get back to you then you move on to the next. This is extremely hard to do especially when you like the girl and the girl liked you but the harder things are to do, the better it works. Good luck my friend.
