I think it would definitely improve worker productivity. Especially in large offices with little supervision. I've known some otherwise good employees who saw nothing wrong with spending hours on facebook during their work day. Do they just not get it?

A person is at work to work. Using social network sites during paid hours is theft of company resources, plain and simple. I am not in administration, but am all for blocking these sites. Frankly, I get tired of being the only one busy at work while everyone else whiles away the hours posting status and showing photos on Facebook. I've never said anything, but that's how I feel.
