Where is the best place to advertise a residential rental for free?
i.e places like Craigslist, facebook, etc...
Or do you mostly have to pay for print and internet ads. Didn't know if there were any other good sites. Ads |

A sign in the yard always works well--you'll get a third of your calls from the sign and the other two thirds from your ad.
You have to pay for most sites, but if you are paying, a local newspaper with a good internet classified is good. I think you can still get free ads on craigslist, but I haven't looked at that site in a while. |

Truth is most renters expect to find "fresh" ads for local rentals in the local newspaper classifieds. Still your best bet for a rental. Be sure it publishes to the newspaper website so that ad hound users are auto notified and new web searchers will find you easily. ALWAYS include the beds, baths and price so you're found.
Put your home on http://www.HELPMESELL.com then place the following ad: 3/2/2 FOR RENT $1500 24 hr hot-line & webtour 877-360-3726 code 1234 http://www.HelpMeSell.com/1234 Be sure to use your appropriate home info and your own code. Also add it to http://www.CraigsList.org |
