For how long will 1GB of Internet Service last?
I buy a 3G High-Speed Wireless Internet Service for $30.00/month through Cricket Mobile Broadband; in which Cricket says that for $30.00/month I get 1GB of Internet Access. On average about for how long should a 1GB Internet Connection last within a 30 day period?...

1GB for whole month is too low. It's only good for reading news, blogging and email

It differs for different people, and is based entirely on your usage.

I actually knew a horrible fat cow, who got by with a monthly 1GB, whereas with my 50Mb/s connection, my router logs show around 50GB of usage a month.

When my brother and I lived in Cape Town, where adsl was billed like your wireless, we burned up 3GB in a week between us, and that was with us trying not to use too much. We ran updates from the office, downloaded from McDonald's too (which failed - they have a 100MB limit per customer per day there).

Its basically like this - uploading / downloading video - you'll blow that in a week.

Just using social sites, email, and browsing, hmm, maybe 2 weeks?

The best thing you can do is use Firefox as your browser, and install Ad Block plus, which prevents you streaming all the adverts, which constantly eat away at your data usage.

Remember, these companies will sum your upload and download usage together to determine your usage, so consider installing a Network Monitor program, so you can see where you are with your usage over time.

Hope that helps.

Okay , just look at my data manager i downloaded for free so far i use up 325mb and just paid for the service 5 days ago and didn't look at any movies , a few videos in which ate up some mb's , went online a few times for short periods, download some things from the android market ,heaven knows, i download about 15 songs and so far , won't be long i"ll be at 1gb of service, my plan is virgin mobile under the wifi service a monthly plan of 50 dollars with unlimited service but they say after 2.5 gbs they throttle back a bit seems like old dial up service, and i still recieve data across the sprint 3g network so it's the same as your plan, limit your usage per day watch short tv programs and barely any long movies and use it less than 3 hours a day, my tablet is right beside me and is off don't want to burn mb's while it on and not being used.
1 gb of service will not last long if you like being on the tablet for long periods of time, i would say a cuple of weeks, download this program at the android market called my data manager once you hook up the service and you"ll see what i"m talking about, two other programs that are mb's eater is google earth, google map, and video players, go with the unlimited instead of the 1 gb of service.
