How do I know if certain apps are compatible with my itouch?
So I just got an itouch 8gig 2nd generation. and one of the first things i tried to download was facebook.. right? but it says that it's not compatible with my itouch and i need the 3.0 S system or something? idk. is there a way that i can put facebook on my itouch and other apps that says that its not compatible with?

You can download the free 3.0 os firmware from here http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/
select the ipod touch 2g (3.1.2) and save it as a .ipsw file and go into itunes hold shift and click restore then fin you firmware file you downloaded from that site and walah you have the 3.1.2 firmware and then you can get facebook

**Note back up ipod before doing this since all data will be restored to factory settings**
