A lot of older adult complain that people don't know how to party these day. They say 1960s to 1980s party are more fun than today.

What do it mean? And why is that? How it different?

I just thought if everybody get drunk and being high then it's a great party.

Well back then age 18 legally allow to drink, but now it's 21. But even those what it has to do with knowing how to party?

Back then people drank until they got a decent buzz, and then slowed down just enough to maintain that buzz, and making the party last all night. Nowadays, people drink until they are sloppy drunk and puking. Then they fall flat on their faces at 2am, stay there until 6am, then get up, puke again, and drive home or to work half drunk. It's retarded. Moderation is key, but it's something that youngsters these days can't seem to grasp.

I read an article on how many bars in college towns are going broke. Not because the long ago change in drinking age but because of the way youngsters now drink.

Rather than go out and meet people during the evening, it's become routine to pound drinks at home with your close friends, use social media to find where the "best" scene is, and then just show up there at the end of the evening. No real socializing, except for mock electronic socializing. Got to have a pic to prove you went out, or the experience isn't real

More to the point, going out and spending time with people has been replaced by messaging. Half the people at any party will spend their time messaging on their phone or checking face book.

Most people seem to think an evening of Mario cart and some dvds is party these days.

When is the last time you woke up to find a jungle gym in your living room and a guy who you can't name on the couch? When is the last time you woke up to find yourself hungover in a car, headed for Chicago to see the dead? When was the last real epic evening you had? That time Bob broke his arm or Jim passed out in a field?
